Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has given his verdict on Manchester United striker Rasmus Højlund.
Shearer insisted that the 22-year-old is a damaged player, adding that he is not ready to lead the Red Devils' attacking line.
This comes following Manchester United's 1-0 Premier League defeat to Wolves at the weekend.
“I’m looking at a damaged player in Hojlund,” Shearer said on Match of the Day 2.
“I think he wasn’t ready and isn’t ready to lead the line at a club like Manchester United.
“Three Premier League goals, and at the minute I’m seeing a player that doesn’t really want to get in there.”
Since joining Manchester United from Serie A side Atalanta, Højlund has failed to impress at Old Trafford.
The Denmark international has scored three goals in the Premier League and five in the Europa League this term.
