EPL: How Fernandes, Martinez treated Man Utd players during 6-3 defeat

Published on October 04, 2022 at 07:20 PM

Manchester United stars, Bruno Fernandes and Lisandro Martinez slammed teammates, during a ‘half-time rant’ in their 6-3 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.

Manchester United suffered an embarrassing defeat to Manchester City on Sunday with three goals each from Erling Haaland and Phil Foden.

Anthony Martial (2) and Antony scored three for the visitors but they were only consolation gaols.

Manchester United returned from the break to show signs of improvement but it was not enough to remedy the situation.

The Sun reports that Fernandes and Martinez ‘raged at their teammates’ during the half-time break, and their shouts could be heard along the corridor by the dressing room.

Fernandes was captaining United in Harry Maguire’s absence, while Martinez is said to have made his feelings clear in a fiery dressing room rant.
