EPL: Leicester City boss, Rodgers delivers positive injury update on Ndidi

Published on October 28, 2022 at 12:24 PM

Wilfred Ndidi is available for Leicester City’s Premier League clash against Manchester City on Saturday, according to manager, Brendan Rodgers.

Ndidi has been sidelined since suffering a relapse of a hamstring injury in the Foxes 4-0 win against Nottingham Forest on October 3.

The midfielder has missed Leicester City’s last four games as a result of the setback.

Rodgers stated that the Nigerian has resumed full training with his teammates and is ready to face the champions.

“The most important thing is he’s (Ndidi) back training in the squad and he’s looked fine with the players,”; Rodgers was quoted by the club’s official website

“Availability is the important thing and thankfully he’s available. Marc Albrighton was obviously back last weekend. We’re all fine.”;

The news will also delight Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, who will be counting on Ndidi in the upcoming international friendly against Portugal.

The friendly against the former European champions will hold at the Estadio Jose Alvalade, Lisbon on November 17.
