EPL: Liverpool now two wins away from title after beating West Ham

Published on April 13, 2025 at 03:38 PM

Liverpool is now two wins away from winning the Premier League title, after they defeated West Ham 2-1 on Sunday.

The Reds came into the game eight points ahead of Arsenal, who played out a 1-1 draw with Brentford a day before.

Arne Slot's men took the lead in the first half of the match, after Mohamed Salah laid the ball off for Luis Diaz.

The Hammers were level in the dying minutes of the game thanks to an Andrew Robertson own goal.

But Virgil van Vijk stepped up to head in the winner in the 89th minute at Anfield.

The result takes Liverpool 13 points clear of Arsenal and they need just six points from their remaining games to lift the title.
