EPL title: Liverpool could be crowned champions next weekend after Arsenal falter again

Published on April 13, 2025 at 05:25 AM

Liverpool could be confirmed Premier League champions next weekend.

The Reds go into Sunday's fixture against West Ham sitting 10 points clear of Arsenal at the top of the table.

The Gunners' 1-1 draw with Brentford at the Emirates on Saturday, means the earliest Arne Slot's men can win the title is on Sunday, April 20.

Liverpool need nine points from their remaining seven games to be guaranteed a second league title.

That would take their tally to 82 points, and even if Arsenal win their remaining six games, they could get to only 81 points.

For that to happen, the Reds must beat West Ham United on April 13, while Arsenal have to lose their next game at Ipswich Town on April 20.

That scenario would put Liverpool on 79 points after beating Leicester, while Arsenal would still be on 63 points and only able to finish on a maximum of 78, with five matches and 15 points left to fight for after losing to Ipswich.
