However, scans on Maddison’s knee are believed to have provided reassuring results and Ange Postecoglou’s side are optimistic that he will be fit to face Liverpool.
The likes of Ivan Perisic (knee), Giovani Lo Celso (thigh), Alfie Whiteman (ankle), Rodrigo Bentancur (knee), Bryan Gil (groin) and Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) are all recovering from various injuries.
