Erika And Tom Girardi’s Legal Messiness Will Be Covered In A New Documentary

49-year-old Erika Jayne of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is currently divorcing her husband, 81-year-old lawyer Tom Girardi, who is in the middle of major legal trouble and has been accused of stealing millions to fund his and Erika’s lavish lifestyle (and her pop career). Tom is facing several lawsuits and Erika is wrapped up in it too because it’s been alleged that her divorce is a front to hide assets and her involvement in Tom’s schemes. Well, the hits keep coming, because, on June 14, Hulu will release an ABC News Original documentary about the scandal called The Housewife and the Hustler. I’m sure this isn’t the Housewife spin-off content that Erika Jayne was hoping for.

Tom has been sued for allegedly embezzling money from his law firm, including stealing money from the victims and victims’ families of the Lion Air Flight 610 crash. Tom was then sued by his partners, Robert Keese, Robert Finnerty, and Jill O’Callahan, to dissolve their firm after Girardi & Keese had their assets frozen by a judge because of the embezzling. Erika filed for divorce after the shit hit the fan and accused Tom of cheating on her. People have called “bullshit” on that, suggesting the divorce and cheating nonsense was all for show to hide assets and make Erika look innocent.

Tom’s health soon rapidly declined and his “mental competence” was taken into question. After a mental assessment and a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s, Tom’s brother, Robert Girardi, became his conservator. Us Weekly says that Tom has a court date on June 9.

Also in June, Hulu and ABC News Originals will twist the knife by releasing The Housewife and the Hustler. via People:

In a teaser for the special, titled The Housewife and the Hustler, various legal experts, those accusing Tom of embezzlement and Real Housewives stars speak on the scandals surrounding the former couple, all of which came to light following Erika’s divorce filing last year.

“Tom Girardi was L.A. law — so powerful,” one legal expert says in the teaser, as another participant adds, “They were just blowing money left and right, but then…”

“I think the biggest question is: Did she know?” actress and comedian Heather McDonald concludes.

The documentary, which will begin streaming exclusively on Hulu June 14, will also feature voicemail messages, court records and a never-before-aired deposition tape of Tom, according to ABC News.

But don’t worry, they aren’t just shitting on Erika and painting her as a sleazy, desperate wannabe pop star. They also go after Tom. In the documentary, alleged victims Kathy and Joe Ruigomez, Josie Hernandez, and Bias Ramadhan give interviews about Tom’s alleged scheming ways:

“Depict Girardi as a charming litigator who allegedly dipped into client trust accounts to finance his lifestyle and wife’s pop star career.”

We can also expect commentary from former Real Housewives of New Jersey villain, Danielle Staub and former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills person who I don’t even remember, Dana Wilkey. I’m sure they’ll have some great insight because Dana has committed fraud herself and Danielle is full-tilt bitchy, so you know she’ll allege something she knows nothing about. My favorite!

Because these people really wanted to drive a stake through Erika’s heart, they put together a trailer that uses Fergie‘s hit Glamorous as a soundtrack. They didn’t even throw Erika a little bone by using her own song about being glamorous and rich:

Since Hulu and ABC News are giving Erika and Tom’s alleged thievery the TV treatment, it’s only a matter of time before Lifetime gets in on the action and delivers It’s Illi¢it To Be Me: The Erika Jayne Story. And they can really piss her off by casting one of her rivals, like Denise Richards, as her.
