FA Cup: They’re really good – Guardiola hails 3 Man City stars

Published on March 31, 2025 at 11:34 AM

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has hailed the likes of Bernardo Silva, Ilkay Gundogan, and Kevin De Bruyne following his side's FA Cup quarter-final win against Bournemouth on Sunday.

Guardiola said the trio are “really good” after City booked their place in the FA Cup semi-final by defeating Bournemouth 2-1.

Recall that two second-half goals from Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush secured the victory for the Premier League champions.

“Not just young players, but the old players as well,” Guardiola told ITV.

“Today, Bernardo [Silva], Gundo [Ilkay Gundogan], and Kevin [De Bruyne]—you know they are really good.”

Silva, De Bruyne, and Gundogan all played against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Man City's next game is against Leicester City in the Premier League on Wednesday.

The Cityzens will face Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup semi-final in April.
