Family favourite snack is flying off supermarket’s shelves for just 49p – and it’s perfect for lunch boxes

A LUNCHBOX champion is going down a treat at just 49p for a pack of four.

Savvy shoppers said the deal kept their children happy whilst helping save the pennies.

One customer shared a photo of the Dairylea Plant-Based Dunkers after spotting them in their local Heron Foods.

The tubs contain garlic and herb flavour crispy tubes with a dairy-free cheese-flavored oat dip to dunk them in.

At just 91 calories and a “good source of calcium”, the snack left parents impressed.

One Facebook user tagged a friend and said: “Save me some of these pls for the baby. I'll love you forever.”

Plenty of others excitedly tagged friends and family to alert them of the deal.

However, one customer was disappointed that their local store didn't have any in stock.

Others were unsure about trying the product due to it being vegan, but one wrote: “Bet you wouldn't be able to tell the difference,” adding that: “We are all in it for the tubes. Sell the tubes and their profits would go up 10000% with me alone.”

“Perfect for the kids seeing as they only eat the sticks!” joked another.

The savory snack is £3.25 for a pack of four in Tesco and £2.75 in Sainsbury's.

This comes as chocolate fans flocked to Heron Foods for more than 50 per cent off a rare Cadbury bar.

The Top Deck, which normally sells for £1.69, had been slashed to just 69p.

The 95g bar boasts two generous layers of creamy white and milk chocolate – the best of both worlds for chocolate lovers.

The vintage chocolate was available to buy in Britain from 1993 until the 2000s but then vanished from shelves.

Top Deck was relaunched by Cadbury last year and sent 1990s fans wild with nostalgia.

News of the sweet deal was posted on theHotUKDealswebsite where shoppers were clamouring over the price.

“Now that's a bargain for a right classic,” one said.

“Picked up a box yesterday – date is good till June so should be good for baking/eating etc for a while,” said another.

The 69p price tag for a 95g bar of Top Deck is the cheapest we've found the chocolate bar selling for online.

Sainsbury's is selling the same bar for almost four times the price, at £2. Iceland is selling Top Deck for £1.75.

The most expensive of all is Amazon, selling a 95g bar for £4.99 – proving Heron Foods' 69p deal is a real bargain.
