Fire destroys 45 houses, 35 silos in Jigawa community

A devastating fire outbreak has destroyed over 45 houses, 35 silos, and livestock in Batakashi village, Garki Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

An eyewitness, Malam Musa told DAILY POST that the incident occurred on Friday night, leaving three people injured and causing extensive damage to properties and animals.

He explained that some of the properties destroyed include livestock, silos, clothes and other valuable items.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

Chairman of Garki Local Government Area, Adamu Hudu Kore, has visited the affected community to sympathize with the victims and assess the level of damage.

Police spokesman SP. Lawan Shiisu Adam said the command is yet to receive the report and promised to give details as soon as he received the report.
