AN ICONIC 90s Ford Escort fit with its original rear spoiler has hit the market for 10 times its original value.
The “highly coveted” 32-year-old Escort is going under the hammer on May 17 – and is expected to fetch a whopping £100,000.



Boasting its trademark rear spoiler, the RS Cosworth Lux Big Turbo – an affordable “supercar” of its day – will be auctioned by Iconic Auctioneers at Sywell, near .
The vintage motor was built at the Rhein Assembly Plant in in 1992, making it one of the “highly collectable” 2,500 “Big Turbo” vehicles.
It was one of only 7,145 ever made and can reach a top speed of 147mph.
At the time, would have retailed for around £10,000 -the equivalent of around £21,000 today.
More recently, it was valued at £82,000 before undergoing a full renovation.
It is now equipped with a quick clear heated windscreen and heated washer jets.
A three-spoke leather covered steering wheel, central double locking, tailgate release, and lights on warning are also some of the car's newest .


The impressive car also boasts a sunroof and electric windows – plus the factory option of genuine Ford floormats which are “the ultra-rare high specification” in deep blue.
Despite hailing from the 90s and having some 25,000 miles under its belt, it's still a whizzing from 0-60mph in just 5.9 seconds.
The car is powered by the familiar two-litre turbocharged, longitudinally-mounted, Cosworth-developed engine all four wheels.
enthusiasts will also be thrilled to discover the motor's previous owner was Vice Chariman of the Hertfordshire and North RS Owners Club.
Also present is a book pack which still contains the original staff cards and dealer key rings.
The listing states: “The paperwork is meticulously presented in individual folders, with chronologically filed service invoices and virtually every MOT Certificate, whilst the original service book contains 14 stamped entries.
