England No1 Pickford spilled his catch for Marcus Tavernier’s opener and was caught sleeping for the second.

Bournemouth then added a third through Jaidon Anthony in the second half to secure three points.

But at full-time as Everton players approached the away end at the Vitality Stadium, fans let their feelings be known.

Pickford could be seen being dragged away as well as a number of other senior stars with Lampard ushering his players towards the tunnel.

Police were also forced to intervene and calm tensions.

Alex Iwobi threw his shirt into the away section only for it to be thrown back on the pitch.

The devastating loss on the South Coast has Lampard’s men one point above the relegation zone.

Lampard is under increasing pressure to produce results.
