Jade Goody's ex Jeff Brazier launches legal bid to stop son Freddy from seeing gran

FREDDIE Brazier shrugged off dad Jeff’s legal battle with his gran Jackiey Budden today as they spent time together in Essex.

Jeff, 45, has launched a legal battle to ban his son, 20, from seeing Jackiey, 68 – the mum of late Big Brother star Jade Goody.

But the father and son duo ignored the family drama as they enjoyed a day out together.

This Morning host Jeff and Freddie headed to the barbers, with the proud dad sharing a snap of his youngest son getting a trim.

He captioned the photo: “Thank you for the freshen up and the catch up @haychembarbers we both love you.”;

Jeff – who is also dad to son Bobby, 21 – has now hired a leading barrister to block contact between model Freddy and Jackiey.

Freddy regularly stays with Jackiey and previously posted a video on TikTok of himself openly taking drugs at her flat in Bermondsey, south east London.

A source close to the Brazier family said of Jeff's action: “This is something Jeff and anyone who cares about Freddy hopes will help keep Freddy safe from a relationship that has been incredibly detrimental to his well being for a long time now.

“The fact that he is going down this route shows how concerned we all our and how our efforts to keep Fred safe are being grossly undermined by other people.’’

Jackie has reportedly spoken out about the feud saying “I know what this is all about”.

It comes as Freddie's stepmum Kate shared a touching post about grief following Jade's death from cervical cancer in 2009.

Kate posted a lengthy caption to accompany sweets snaps with Bobby and Freddie, writing: “One of the biggest things this grief has left me with, if I am being really honest, is much more empathy for other people who have had life changing loss. None more so than these two.

“If how I have felt most days for the last four months (furious with the world and like I want to tear my way out of my skin so I don’t have to feel what I’m feeling) is anything to go by, then I cannot begin to imagine how they have felt losing the most important person in their life.

“16 years ago today they lost their mum. It’s always a tough day.”;

Kate continued: “5 years later I turned up, at just 24, without a clue what I was doing or how to help. I wish I knew then what I know now.”

I understand so much better some of the challenges we have faced (and there have been many!) and I can absolutely see where they get their empathy, kindness and understanding of others from. I can only hope to have half of that. Sending love to anyone grieving. https://www.instagram.com/katebrazierpr/
