There's some music, news and religion.

Trace UK builds on Freeview‘s music channel line-up after the sad loss of 4Music last year.

4Music was closed down by Channel 4, along with The Box, Kiss, Kerrang and Magic.

Trace UK was previously available to stream via the Channelbox service but now it has a terrestrial channel available via your aerial.

Viewers can find it on their TV planner at number 285, next to existing music channel GIGS at 284.

In terms of news, Freeview fans can also find Euronews.

It sits at position 257.

And the final new channel is It Is Written TV which is dedicated to “thought-provoking biblical programming”.

The channel can be found at 286.

But that's not the only changes on Freeview this week as six others have been shuffled.

THE BIG BROADCASTING SHAKE-UP

Analysis by Jamie Harris, Assistant Technology and Science Editor at Flying Eze

Broadcasting is going through an almighty shift at the moment with the push toward streaming at a key point.

Eurosport and TNT Sports owner Warner Bros Discovery is making some big changes next year.

And it's likely Discovery+ will disappear as a result.

The streaming service has closed in several countries already to make way for a replacement, Max, bringing HBO and Discovery content under one roof.

The UK is one of the few big markets where Max hasn't launched yet because of existing agreements with Sky, allowing Sky Atlantic to air big HBO-made hits like Game of Thrones and The White Lotus.

But the pair recently announced a new deal that will pave the way for Max's launch in the UK early 2026 as a standalone app, while Sky customers will get access at no extra cost.

So expect even bigger changes in the TV and streaming world next year.
