Producers of the hit BBC programme have handed the show a seventh and eighth series.

A sixth is already filmed and ready to go with it expected to premiere on April 10th on BBC One at 8pm.

It means fans have plenty of Interior Design Masters action still to come.

Producers are now on the hunt for 10 budding designers who are hoping they have what it takes to bag the show's top prize.

The BBC have confirmed that filming will take place in Summer this year.

For this year's series, participants have the chance to win the opportunity to collaborate with John Lewis for their very own collection of homeware.

Speaking about being handed a huge run of episodes for the show, Alan said: “To get your show recommissioned is always a lovely thing but to get it recommissioned twice is really special.

“And it’s such a wonderful feeling to know that Interior Design Masters will, for the next two years, be keeping the UK entertained and also inspired.

“I feel the show goes from strength to strength and whether Interior Design Masters makes you giggle on the settee or propels you up a stepladder with a drill in hand to give your room some much needed TLC, we hope we put a smile on your face.”;

One of the show's judges, Michelle Ogundehin, added: “An abundance of reasons to celebrate! I could not be more pleased that Interior Design Masters will be coming back for two more series.
