BRAZIL pair Alex Telles and Gabriel Jesus have been ruled OUT of the World Cup, according to reports.

The Arsenal star suffered a knee injury against Cameroon, while the Manchester United also hobbled off in the 1-0 defeat.

Telles was withdrawn early in the second period on Friday, 10 minutes before Arsenal man came off.

With the Samba Boys already assured of their place in the last-16, Tite rung the changes and handed both players their first starts of the tournament.

But it proved a costly night for the five-time winners, who not only suffered their first group stage defeat for 24 years, but have now lost two players.

That’s because, according to Brazilian outlet Globo, the pair will play no further part in Qatar.

The duo underwent scans on Saturday morning and were hit with the bad news when the results came back.

Jesus is expected to miss around one month, which immediately puts him in a race against time to be fit for Arsenal’s Boxing Day clash with West Ham.

The report claims that Jesus has been feeling the pain when playing for his club, but not enough to stop him from going to the World Cup.

Meanwhile, Telles’ case is thought to be more serious.

The left-back led the field in tears and could be forced to undergo surgery.

This comes with Brazil still sweating on the fitness of Neymar, who missed the last two group games and is in a race against time to be fit for the last-16 tie with South Korea.
