GARETH BALE celebrated winning the MLS Cup in style alongside Hollywood star Will Ferrell.

Former Tottenham and Real Madrid ace Bale jumped off the bench in extra time to head home a late equaliser for Los Angeles FC, who then proceeded to beat Philadelphia Union on penalties.

And after the game the super sub was soaked by team-mates in his post-match press conference.

But it was the celebration of Ferrell that caught everyone’s attention.

The actor, who stars in this year’s Asda Christmas advert, was filmed drinking out of the MLS Cup.

Ferrell had a team scarf around his neck and a white cap on as he started drinking out of the trophy on the pitch after the final whistle.

Later on, Bale posted a photo alongside the Anchorman star to his Twitter page.

While Bale had a beaming grin on his face with an arm around Ferrell’s shoulder, Ferrell went for a more extravagant pose as he was pictured biting the winner’s medal around Bale’s neck.

It was revealed in August how Ferrell was a key reason behind Bale’s move to the MLS.

And life across the pond started off well for him, as he scored two stunners in his first four games.

While the Welshman does have 14 games under his belt in America, many of these have seen him be utilised as a substitute.

This is because Bale has struggled for fitness since joining the California-based side.

Bale’s World Cup dream was even thrown into doubt after he missed LAFC’s MLS Cup semi-final.

However, fearing for their captain’s well-being, SunSport exclusively revealed that Wales sent physios over to the US to help get him in top shape for the World Cup which starts in two weeks.
