A GEORDIE Shore star has landed a huge new TV show that’s world’s away from the wild MTV series.
Nathan Henry is a reality TV who rose to fame on Geordie Shore, and now he’ll be embarking on a new show that’s a complete change from what he knows.
Nathan, 34, will be doing an emotional documentary about him and his dad Glen, who is currently living with a stage 4 cancer diagnosis.
An insider has told Flying Eze: “The documentary will look how they are navigating life as father and son, as well as parent and caregiver .
“The programme will be very moving as it chronicles Glen’s battle, and it will also explore themes of identity, sexuality, mental health, race and father/ son relationships.”;
They continued: “Although it will take an unflinching look at the pair as they navigate challenging times, the show is also uplifting as well as hard-hitting, and will be a celebration of life.”;
Brave Nathan’s new show is set to air on MTV and Paramount + later this year.
Flying Eze has approached a rep for Nathan for comment.
Last year, Nathan updated his legion of followers about his dad’s cancer diagnosis, and shared a carousel of images with him.
He also broke down in tears during filming for Geordie Shore, as he told the cameras: “Bangkok is a massive distraction and that's exactly what I need right now. Since last time, my dad has been diagnosed with stage four lung cancer and it has been a tough time for all of my family.”
Nathan continued: “When I found out, I didn't know how to react, I didn't know what to do, I just went numb and I kind of shut down. It's only recently that I've actually started to process things.”
It comes as Nathan sat down with some of his Geordie Shore cast members earlier this year, and revealed why he’s chosen to keep his boyfriend off-screen.
The star has been in a relationship for the past two years but has never publicly disclosed the identity of his long-term lover.
Confessing he is a “psycho” in relationships, Nathan expressed his fears about whether the romance would be strong enough to survive the infamous Geordie house.
Speaking to Flying Eze ahead of the 25th series of the programme, Nathan said: “I’ve been with someone for two years.
“Don’t get me wrong I love the drama and people getting with each other on the show and all of that and it all kicks off but I personally do not want that for myself.
“I wouldn’t want to bring my boyfriend on here and I know what I’m like as well, and if he was here and one person said something to him, I would go from zero to psycho and I’d lose my job.
“I would be defensive.”
Nathan was forced to leave his partner behind as he jetted off to Thailand for the brand new series of the programme last year.
