‘I was scared’ – Darts star Gerwyn Price reveals message from Jake Paul after calling out boxer

GERYWN PRICE has revealed he received a message from Jake Paul – after calling out the boxer for a dust-up.

The former PDC darts world champion, 40, claimed he would deal with The Problem Child with just “one punch”.

Speaking in February, Price toldtalkSPORT: “I think it would just be one punch, and it would be all over.

“Out cold; it would be a waste of money for people to tune in.”;

Price revealed the American “wrote back” to him after his comments went viral.

The Ice Man is a former rugby union player but gave up the game in 2014 to focus on darts.

But he claimed he was “scared” to respond to Paul's challenge after receiving a shock DM from the YouTuber.

Price continued: “He wrote back to me. I'll show you the message.”

The 2023 world champion then produced a direct message from Paul, prompting an “Oh my God” from the interviewer.

He added: “[The message] says ‘Come to Greece, man. Just name a price.'”

When asked why he hadn't responded, Price laughed: “I was a bit scared.

“I'd need to get some training in now.”

Price is currently competing in the Premier League Darts.

The Welshman will be back in action on Thursday as the competition heads to Newcastle.

SunSport recently revealed Paul is closing in on a rematch with Tommy Fury – after losing out on the fight of his life against Canelo Alvarez.

Fury is the only man to defeat the YouTuber-turned-boxerfollowing his split-decision win in February 2023.

Jake told SunSport: “Definitely that's on the docket and those conversations have been going on for quite some time.

“I think it is gonna happen when it makes sense for everyone, but for sure it's gonna happen.”

Fury, 25, has fought just once since, beating Paul's arch-rival KSI, 31,in a disputed decision almost two years ago.
