A LITTLE girl who was killed alongside her mum in a house fire has been pictured for the first time.

Mayci Fox, four, died in the blaze at a historic former station house in Rushton, Northamptonshire, on Friday night.

Her mother Emma Conn, 30, who runs a lash and beauty salon in Desborough, and Louie Thorn, 23, were also killed.

A video shared on Facebook earlier this month showed the pair dancing to music in a mirror.

Mayci's great grandmother said she was “too upset to speak about it”.

She told Flying Eze: “I have lost my great granddaughter in the fire and her mum.

“It is just so sad. I'm too upset to speak about it.

“Her brother had gone out for the evening so was not at home when the fire started.”

The force said: “Although formal identification has yet to take place, Northamptonshire Police is naming the three people with the agreement of the Coroner’s Office, and with the support of their families.

“Tributes to Mayci, Emma and Louie will be released via the Force in the coming days.

“The families have requested for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time and therefore do not wish to speak to the media.”

Police, fire and ambulance crews responded to reports of the blaze on Beswick Close, at around 10.30pm.

Northamptonshire Police and Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service are conducting an investigation into the cause of the fire.

Police had arrested a man on suspicion of murder but he has now been released with no further action.

Three police officers also required hospital assessment due to smoke inhalation.

Neighbours said the fire victims were part of a “blended family”.

Shocking photos showed the aftermath of the incident and forensics at the property, which was a restored station master's home.

The neighbour said: “I know the three individuals who were in there and their extended family.

“It was a blended family, so it's cast a big circle. It's a tragedy.”

The neighbour also said he was with the owner of the property – who is believed to be related to the victims – and later went to hospital with him.

He added that it “became clear early on” that people had died in the fire.

The neighbour said: “I was there the whole evening. I was with the owner of the property.

“I went to the hospital with him until the early hours of the morning so I was there for the whole evening.

“I've seen many house fires before because of the job that I do.

“It became clear early on that there wasn't going to be any lives saved.”

Another neighbour, who also wishes to be anonymous, said that the owner of the property renovated it a few years ago.

She said: “The guy that owns the property renovated it a couple of years ago. I understand that he survived and three people died.

“From my point of view, he wasn't that integrated into the community but people do have busy lives.

“I drove by at 10pm and there was nothing but by 10.30pm, it was fully ablaze.”
