Forner Arsenal forward, Julio Baptista has named Cristiano Ronaldo the greatest footballer of all time ahead of Lionel Messi.
Baptista believes that Ronaldo has always been the GOAT ahead of his eternal rival, Messi.
The former Sevilla attacking midfielder insisted that the Portuguese king of goals had a more difficult career and still achieved plenty of success.
The former Real Madrid man also claimed that the Portuguese superstar proved himself in more number of leagues than the Argentine.
He told FootballItalia, as quoted by Desporto AO Minuto, “If I had to choose, I think I would have to take into account the fact that it was harder for Cristiano.
“He was voted the best player in the world at Manchester United, he won the Champions League at Manchester United, which was a little more difficult.
“Messi was always with good players, but Cristiano played in several different places. So for me, what Cristiano did was harder than what Messi did.
“Ronaldo has more variety in the CV, and I think we should applaud him for that and reward him as GOAT, too.”
Messi has scored 8 goals provided 3 assists in 10 games for Inter Miami this season, while former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus man, Ronaldo has netted 32 goals and made four assists in 35 appearances this campaign.
