GOT7’s Jinyoung may be starring in a new drama with Kim Min Ju!
On April 29, a media outlet reported that Jinyoung has been cast as the male lead for the new JTBC drama “Shining”; (literal title).
In response to the report, Jinyoung’s agency BH Entertainment stated, “It is a project he received an offer for and is positively reviewing.”;
“Shining”; follows the love story of a man and a woman whose world revolves around just the two of them with their unbreakable bond serving as a guiding light in their lives. After parting ways at the age of 19, they reunite at 30. The drama will be directed by Producing Director Kim Yoon Jin, who helmed the dramas “Our Beloved Summer”; and “Tell Me That You Love Me,”; and penned by Lee Sook Yeon, who previously wrote “On the Way to the Airport”; and “A Piece of Your Mind.”;
Actors Chae Jong Hyeop and Rowoonwere to play the male lead Yeon Tae Oh, a train conductor whose life is dramatically changed after a tragic accident at the age of nineteen, which results in the loss of his parents and leaves his younger brother injured. Both actors ultimately declined their casting offers.
