Government ‘money not free money we must give accounts – Gov Namadi to SAs

Published on March 28, 2025 at 02:49 PM

The JIgawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi has advised Special Assistants to justify what they have been receiving as monthly allowance.

He gave the advice while speaking during fast breaking with his special Assistants held at Banquet Hall, Government House Dutse.

He asked them to be good ambassadors to the government and work hard towards the development of the state.
“Whenever I get this opportunity, I use it to remind myself and other political appointees that we will be held accountable for whatever we receive on the Day of Judgment.

“Therefore, we must do everything possible to fulfill our responsibilities. Public office is a trust—our appointments are meant to serve the government and the people, not to sit idly and wait for a paycheck at the end of the month”

“It is unfortunate that some see government funds as free money. I urge us all to fear God, uphold integrity, and carry out our duties diligently, knowing that we will account for our actions.” He said.
