Governor Namadi approves land for security training facility in Jigawa

Published on March 27, 2025 at 02:33 PM

The Jigawa State Government has allocated 35 hectares of land for the construction of a state-of-the-art shooting range at Tsohon Kafi in Birnin Kudu Local Government Area.

Spokesman of the Jigawa State Police Command, SP Lawan Shiisu Adam, disclosed this in a statement issued to DAILY POST.

He said the initiative aims to enhance security training and marksmanship for law enforcement agencies, military personnel, and other security stakeholders.

Shiisu explained that the development is part of Governor Umar Namadi's efforts to strengthen security and defense capabilities within the state.

He noted that the shooting range would provide a safe and controlled environment for security personnel to conduct training exercises and tactical drills.

“This facility will not only serve our security forces but also create opportunities for training programs that will improve the preparedness of our personnel in combating crime and ensuring public safety,” he said.

DAILY POST reported that enhancing security across Jigawa State is part of Governor Umar Namadi's twelve-point agenda.
