Cops have now made Jeffrey Zizz, 47, the prime suspect in the grim case.

Marcia's twisted tomb was found on April 10 as police searched a shed in the US capital which they believed was built by Zizz, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.

During their missing person's investigation on Marcia cops uncovered a link with the sex offender.

He was her handyman and the pair had met up for dinner just nine days before Marcia's body was found.

Around this time, the grandmother stopped having any contact with her friends and family.

She was officially reported missing on April 4 after three days of silence, her family told police.

Cops initially labelled the disappearance as suspicious as Marcia's car was still on the driveway and her kitchen was full of dirty dishes,according to the sheriff’s office.

It is now being investigated by police if Zizz may have built the ramshackle shed where Marcia was found.

The shed was constructed on an “unrelated property”; in Olympia and had to be excavated in order to find the corpse.

Lieutenant Mike Brooks of the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office has detailed how police spoke to Zizz prior to finding Marcia.

He said: “We spoke to [Zizz] a couple of times over the days, just trying to understand the interactions with her, the relationship, how often he’s known her, what he was doing at the house — that kind of stuff.”;

After the body was discovered, Zizz fled to Missoula, Montana before being arrested by police on an unrelated sentencing violation over his previous child molestation charge.

He was picked up at a motel and extradited back to Washington on April 13, police stated.

He is yet to be charged but remains as the main suspect in the case of Marcia's death.

Police are continuing to investigate and have executed search warrants as well as seizing his pick-up truck.

Zizz is currently being held on no bail at the Thurston County Jail over his child molestation sentencing violation.
