New world record set for most pints pulled at the same time

BAR staff have set a new world record – for the most pints pulled at the same time.

In the space of just ten seconds, 114 and breweries spanning the length and breadth of the UK simultaneously poured 114 draught pints, earning a World Record title in the process.

A new world record has been set for the number of pints pulled in one go

Former and legend led the celebrations as the team of publicans and brewers were victorious in achieving the world’s biggest simultaneous pint pour.

The event was held to celebrate a major milestone: the installation of Heineken 0.0’s 1,000th tap – more than any other 0.0% brand in the UK.

It is a key step in Heineken’s mission to destigmatise alcohol-free beer and make it more accessible for everyone, while also being another show of support for British pubs.

And comes after research of more than 11,800 adults which found 21 per cent have tried to conceal the consumption of a low-alcohol beverage.

Footballing icon Bale said: “As a bar owner it’s fantastic to see 0.0% beer taps becoming the norm, taking their rightful place on the bar alongside all the other beer taps.

“It means people can walk into their local and have the chance to enjoy a proper pint, whether it contains or not – there’s always a choice.

“That’s what this record attempt symbolises: choice.

“I was delighted to see so many pubs taking part in setting this world record. It represents a great show of support for pubs and in giving the public what they want.”;

The research went on to find more than a third (38&) would only drink no-alcohol versions of alcoholic beverages if their friends did the same.

And 29% have felt they had to justify why they had chosen a non-alcoholic drink, in the past.

The strict online adjudication process saw pubs across the nation taking part in Heineken’s Big Pour via mass video call to pull their pints in perfect sync, under the watchful eyes of a Guinness adjudicator.

All involved are now the proud holders of the Guinness World Records title for the most people pulling a pint online simultaneously.

Lawson Mountstevens, for Star Pubs, Heineken UK, said: “Part of the ritual of going to the pub is watching your pint being freshly poured from the tap – the tilt of the glass, the smooth cascade, and mouthwatering anticipation of the first sip.

“This draught experience is central to pub culture, and for non-alcoholic beer to become truly mainstream, it needs to be part of that experience-poured from the tap like any other pint.

“That’s why we’re committed to rolling out 0.0 on draught in pubs, because everyone deserves a proper pint, with or without alcohol.”;
