Fury as Prince Harry’s move to US made it ‘hard to fundraise’ for charity blown apart by toxic feud

FURIOUS claims are slamming that Prince Harry's move to the US made it “harder to fundraise” after the royal's charity fell apart.
Sentebale is a charity co-founded by Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in 2006 but lately, leaders have clashed and he's cut ties.
A former trustee has blamed the decline in funding on the Duke of Sussex's move to the USPrince Seeiso of Lesotho and Prince Harry set up the Sentebale in 2006Conflict with the charity's chair Dr. Sophie Chandauka MBE led to their resignation
The Duke of Sussex drastically quit the charity after the chair, Sophie Chandauka, refused trustee demands to resign.
Adding tot charity's internal conflict, it's been suggested that the Prince did not help with the Sentebale's development with his controversial move to California.
A former trustee told Mail: “Logistically it was harder to fundraise than in London and, if we're honest, Harry's popularity had waned somewhat because of everything that had happened.”
When the Sussex's resided in the UK they attended British events like the West End musical Hamilton in August 2018 or Cirque du Soleil's Totem show at the Royal Albert Hall in January 2019.
These high-profile appearances pulled in thousands for Sentebale – which helps young boys struggling in South Africa.
Once Meghan and Harry stepped down from their Royal duties in January 2020 he dramatically moved to the US they stopped attending these prominent events.
The funding, made up of proceeds from ticket sales, then started to dry up and the fundraising for the charity was reportedly made harder.
With the move swirled by controversy, the pair's popularity dropped somewhat which also affected donations.
Their new Montecito mansion neighbours various celebs as their new home is inundated with a slew of A-listers.
This might have reduced their influence, living next to the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Ariana Grande, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Harry QUITTING his own charity is utterly humiliating - misogyny row will hurt him deeply
After walk away from Sentebale, Prince Harry was said to be “heartbroken.”
He quite alongside his co-founder, Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, after the relationship with chairwoman Dr Sophie Chandauka “broke down beyond repair.”
The bitter feud appeared to be triggered by the move to transfer the charity's fundraising operation to Africa, which caused several key figures to quit the organisation.
In a statement given to theMail, Chandauka alleged there had been “weak executive management, abuse ofpower, bullying, harassment, misogyny, and misogynoir”.
However trustees blamed her for the charity losing out on funding and increasing spending on consultants.
In a joint statement, the duke and Prince Seeiso said they were resigning from their roles with “heavy hearts” and in “solidarity with the board of trustees”.
“It is devastating that the relationship between the charity's trustees and the chair of the board broke down beyond repair, creating an untenable situation,” they said.
They said the trustees “acted in the best interest of the charity” by asking Dr Chandauka to step down, but that her decision to take legal action to retain her position was “further underscoring the broken relationship”.
Together with Prince Seeiso, Harry helped raise millions of pounds to change the lives of boys as young as 12.
Many of them herded sheep in the mountains for months at a time because either their parents had died of HIV or their fathers were working in the mines in South Africa.
Harry started a night school for these boys, employed a teacher, and often they would walk for two hours in the dark to this school which was lit byoillamps.
He said: “Prince Harry gives up his charities– which he dearly cared about – and is no longer working for theroyal family, what is he going to do with the rest of his life?“
