US President Donald Trump on Monday hailed golfer Rory McIlroy for winning the Masters on Sunday.
Trump , in a post on his Truth Social media account, said McIlroy showed ‘tremendous courage'.
“Congratulations to Rory, what a great job he did! Tremendous courage and talent was on full display at yesterday’s Masters. What a WIN!!!”
McIlroy became the sixth golfer ever to capture the coveted Grand Slam, winning every single professional golf major.
The 35-year-old from Northern Ireland took home the green jacket at Augusta National after beating Juston Rose in a playoff.
McIlroy had previously won the US Open, PGA Championship and Open Championship.
However, he completed his career Grand Slam on Saturday afternoon.
