Chairman of the Senate Committee on Electoral Matters, Barrister Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, has expressed sadness at the death of Abisola Ajimobi Kola-Daisi, the eldest daughter of the immediate past governor of Oyo State, late Abiola Ajimobi.

Alli described Abisola's passing as heartbreaking.

Alli reacted to Abisola's death in a statement signed by his Media Aide, Akeem Abas. The statement was made available to DAILY POST on Thursday in Ibadan.

DAILY POST recalls that Abisola died in the early hours of Thursday in the United Kingdom.

Her father, Ajimobi ruled the state as governor between 2011 and 2019.

Alli who represents Oyo South Senatorial District, maintained that the death of the daughter of the former governor is a tragic and painful loss, not just to her family but to Oyo State and the nation at large.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain while speaking further noted that the deceased served as Special Adviser to the Minister of Budget and Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu before her death.

He added that she was a brilliant and accomplished professional whose contributions would be sorely missed.

“Bisola was a woman of grace, intellect, and dedication, who upheld the values of excellence and service.

“Her sudden departure is deeply heartbreaking. I pray that the Almighty grants her eternal rest and comforts her loved ones in this difficult time,” Alli added.
