A deadly altercation over cattle grazing in Angwan Doka II, Mararaba, Karu LGA of Nasarawa State, has resulted in the deaths of two young men.

The incident, which occurred around 1:00 p.m. on April 27, 2025, reportedly began when a herder’s cattle ate flowers owned by 21-year-old Arigu David.

A confrontation followed, during which the herder allegedly attacked David with a machete, killing him on the spot.

According to Zagazola Makama, Michael Snu, 34, a friend of the deceased who tried to intervene, was also attacked.

He sustained severe injuries and later died at the Mararaba Medical Centre.

Security officials confirmed that both bodies have been deposited at the hospital morgue.

Investigations are ongoing, and efforts are underway to apprehend the fleeing suspect.
