Hezbollah denies responsibility for rocket fire on Israel

Published on March 23, 2025 at 05:28 AM

Hezbollah on Saturday denied firing rockets at Israel as Israel struck southern Lebanon in response to three rockets it said were launched from across the border.

The Iran-backed group said this in a statement, calling Israel’s accusations pretexts for its continued attacks on Lebanon.

“Hezbollah denies any involvement in the rocket fire from southern Lebanon into the occupied Palestinian territories (Israel),”; the group said.

According to the Israeli military, it struck dozens of rocket launchers in Lebanon in response to cross-border rocket fire on Saturday.

“A short while ago, the army struck dozens of Hezbollah rocket launchers and a command centre from which Hezbollah terrorists were operating in southern Lebanon,”; it said in a statement, referring to the Iran-backed movement in Lebanon.
