AN URGENT weather alert has been issued in two popular Spanish holiday islands.
Mallorca and Ibiza have both been put on an urgent weather alert for heavy rain on Sunday night and Monday – just hours after received the same warning.
It comes as weather experts said the effects of Storm Olivier would be stronger than previously expected.
The State Meteorological Agency has therefore activated a yellow alert for heavy rains, which could leave up to 20 litres per square metre in just one hour.
The alert will remain active until Monday afternoon.
