Holly Willoughby in final snub to Phillip Schofield as she fails to mention him in Dancing On Ice farewell

HOLLY Willoughby made a huge final snub to Phillip Schofield as she failed to mention him in her Dancing On Ice farewell.

ITV previously announced that it is ‘resting' the long-running skating show for 2026, and there are no other plans to make another series.

Holly, 44, broke her silence at the news, as she paid tribute to everyone she has worked with over the years.

She shared a string of photos of both old and more recent series as she gushed about her time fronting Dancing On Ice.

The Bear Hunt frontwoman wrote a long essay as the celebrity competition came to an end.

However, she failed to mention Phillip Schofield, 62,at all in her post as she reflected on the history of the show.

This is despite a special mention to the judges, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.

After becoming a known face on children's television, Holly shot to superstardom as she made her primetime debut on the ice-dancing programme in 2006.

She fronted the show for six series alongside her ‘TV husband' as they expanded their partnership when she joined This Morning back in 2009.

After fronting the show with Christine Lampard for three series, Holly later returned to her role for the reboot in 2018.

Phil was forced to leave his roles at ITV after he admitted to lying about a consensual affair with a younger male colleague.

This was after a highly-publicised fall-out with former BFF Holly behind the scenes.

Despite posting many snaps by Stephen Mulhern, Holly failed to include any snap which featured Philip.

She wrote: “A huge thank you to @itv, The brilliant team, Crew, Celebrities and Everyone who has been part of our Dancing on Ice family over the last 19 years.

“Every year, just when January felt at its greyest, Dancing on Ice arrived like a burst of glittering, dazzling light, warm, joyful, and full of heart...

“It has been an absolute privilege to work alongside true national treasures Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, and to have a front-row seat to their breathtaking skating.

Cast Away verdict

By Rod McPhee

OVER three nights – and three hour-long episodes – Phillip Schofield has been bearing his soul in new Channel 5 show Cast Away.

And it's basically a chance for the former This Morning host to explain the circumstances that saw him leave the show last year.

To put it mildly, he left under something of a cloud, admitting he'd had a fling with a much younger runner on the programme. But in the C5 show he presents his own versions of events – one which is at odds with the narrative that emerged at the time.

He was portrayed as a man who'd had an “unwise” affair, who'd resigned as a result and had let many of his colleagues down.

But in Cast Away Philip insists he was fired by ITV and not for the affair, but because of the bad publicity that surrounded the crimes of his paedophile brother. He summed it up best when he claimed he'd been “pushed under a bus.”

After watching Cast Away what you're left with is something rather confusing, however.

Did Philip think he'd done something wrong by having the fling with the runner, or not? For example, he said he wouldn't have been slammed for it quite so much if it were a heterosexual fling.

He said he: “would have received a pat on the back for having an affair with a woman.” This infers that the only thing wrong with it was that it was a same sex fling. So why does he also say: “I will be forever sorry. I screwed up. I made a mistake.”

The answer, I suspect, is that the whole affair was a murky business. There were so many blurred lines around appropriateness, professionalism and honesty.

The only firm conclusion you can draw from the show is that Phillip himself isn't ENTIRELY sure to what extent He was guilty of wrongdoing.

Amid the confusion, what will the viewing public think? I suspect that this will leave those who disliked Phillip to feel even more suspicious of him.

Those who backed him, will feel reassured too. But those who still aren't sure what to think will be none-the-wiser – and I'm not sure if that's what Phillip would have wanted.

“Watching them glide across the ice was nothing less than pure magic... A special thanks must also go to Arnica, Deep Heat,Spanx and fake tan, unsung heroes of the rink!

“I will miss it hugely, but I count myself so lucky to have had it for as long as we did. Finally and most importantly, thank you to you for watching, you’re the BEST!”

It seems there is no love lost between the former daytime duo as Flying Eze revealed howPhil, referred to Hollyas “the witch”after they fell out.

The former Five Gold Rings presenter also lashed out at an unnamed trio in histelevisioncomeback on Channel 5’s Cast Away.

We also revealed thatPhil's “three s**ts”;were his former co-host Holly and oldITVbosses, Martin Frizell and Emma Gormley.

In 2023, Phil was said to have reached out to Holly during her kidnap ordeal, but a source told theMailthat the “gloves are now off”.

A friend of Holly's told the publication: “Phil seems determined to keep going and going on this.

“You just have to remember that Phil lied to a lot of people in his life so why would he be telling the truth now?”
