A MAJOR bargain chain with 600 locations will close all stores and give staff a break this Easter.

will be shutting all its stores across England and Wales on Easter Sunday, which falls on April 20.

It means staff can enjoy a rest before opening again on 9am on Easter Monday.

And it's not the only store closing for the occasion; Aldi, B&M, Sainsbury's and Tesco will also close.

But brands which have smaller express stores, such as and may choose to keep these stores open.

The bargain retailer always closes its stores during major bank holidays, such as New Year's Day, Christmas Day, and Easter.

The day off is part of which state that shops in England and Wales larger than 280 square metres have to close on Easter Sunday and Christmas Day.

A spokesperson for the brand said: “On Easter Sunday, our stores are closed, with the exception of our Scottish stores.

“Most stores will open from 9am to 6pm on Good Friday and Easter Monday; however, there may be some variance, so we advise checking the special opening times on our store locator.”

Generally, Home Bargains' Easter opening times are as follows:

  • Good Friday: 9am-6pm
  • Easter Sunday – CLOSED
  • Easter Monday – 9am-6pm

Shoppers have been flocking to the bargain store to stock up on its Easter range.
