A TWO-BEDROOM pad once owned by an iconic 70s superstar could be yours for less than half a million pounds.

The property was the former home of legendary musician David Bowie.

The hitmaker moved into the gaff on Canon Road in Bromley, South London in 1953 when he was six years old.

Bowie lived in the terraced house for 12 months after the family relocated from their Brixton home where the star was born.

Now, real estate property portal Rightmove is taking offers from home seekers in the region of £449,500.

The “charming two-bedroom period terraced house” sits neatly perched in a“quiet residential position close to the heart of Bickley on the borders of Bromley”.

The description adds: “This Victorian property exudes a sense of peace and tranquillity, making it the perfect place to call home.

It goes on to describe the “neutral and good condition presentation” which “allows you to put your own touch on the space”;.

After moving from the address, Bowie's family settled at nearby 4 Plaistow Grove.

It was here that Bowie spent his school years, honing his creativity and musical abilities at Ravenswood School For Boys.

Bowie moved out of Bromley in 1969, relocating to Foxgrove Road, Beckenham.

Technically speaking, Space Oddity holds a special place for many of his fans as his first top-five entry on the UK Singles Chart.

Also among his biggest songs are Let's Dance, Fame, Golden Years, Dancing In The Street, and Blue Jean.

Undoubtedly, China Girl, Modern Love, Day-In Day-Out, Under Pressure, and Never Let Me Down also made it big on the charts.
