A MUM was left terrified when a masked man armed with a gun and a knife turned up at her house and opened fire with her three kids inside.
The woman, who was inside her home Maxwell Street inBury, Manchester, said she has been deeply affected by the traumatic incident.
Detective Chief Inspector Victoria Kenyon of the Bury district said: “We swiftly arrested a man yesterday following reports of shots fired. I’m pleased to say no-one was injured during the incident.
“Incidents of this nature are extremely rare in Bury but I know cause significant community concern, particularly as this took place in daylight hours in a public street. I would like to provide some reassurance that it is believed that those involved are known to one another, and there is no wider risk to the public.
“Those living around Mossfield Close can expect to see a large multi-agency presence throughout today whilst we continue our enquiries. Again, I would like to reassure residents that there is no risk to them, however, if you have any concerns, you can speak to officers at the scene.
“Whilst we have spoken with a number of people in the area already, we would continue to appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident, has door bell, CCTV or dash cam footage, to please get in touch.”;
