TEMPLEGATE takes on Friday's action confident of building the bank for a big weekend of jumps and Flat action.

GETHIN (Newbury 3.37, nap)
He produced a smart performance when winning a competitive maiden by six lengths at Nottingham last autumn. He ploughed through the mud on debut, but faster ground should not be an issue judged on his smooth action. Trainer Owen Burrows is still criminally underrated and he would not have entered this lad in the Dante and Derby if he was not producing the goods on the gallops.
HUSCAL (4.45 Newbury, nb)
Was a work in progress last year and has the scope to do better this season. He’s a strong traveller and the step up to seven furlongs will suit.
THE FOUR SIXES (4.25 Ayr, treble)
Bounced back to form in style at Bangor last month. He was runner-up in this last year and can go one better this time.
CREBILLY (3.15 Ayr, Lucky 15)
Is not in the best form but it’s hard to ignore how well handicapped he is. This track will suit his running style.
