FRENCH SAND (5.30 Wolverhampton, nap)

Archie Watson’s three-year-old looked a nice prospect when finishing second on debut here 16 days ago. She showed lots of pace and had to be switched around rivals to make her challenge which wasn’t ideal. She stayed on well to the line and should have learned plenty from the experience.

HORN CAPE (4.00 Newcastle, nb)

All his best form has come at Gosforth Park where he has three hurdles wins on his CV. He came back to his best when third here last time and the handicapper has left his mark alone. He sees out an extended two miles strongly around here so the longer trip shouldn’t be a major problem.

ROADSHOW (3.15 Wincanton, treble)

An interesting hurdles newcomer for Paul Nicholls. He was a winner on the level in France where he held his own at Listed level when trained by Andre Fabre. Current connections forked around £60,000 and he can repay a chunk of that in what looks a modest contest.

LA DOLCE DOLLY (4.15 Wincanton)

Is worth a place in the Lucky 15. She relished moving up to this sort of trip when winning at Plumpton three weeks ago. A 4lb rise in the weights gives her every chance of following up.
