FINE INTERVIEW (3.40 Doncaster, nap)

James Doyle’s mount did really well last season, landing a Ffos Las maiden before proving himself at handicap level at Pontefract and here in October. He saves his best for this distance and a little give in the ground is perfect. The handicapper has given him a nudge north but there’s more improvement to come and he could end up a Listed-class horse by the end of the season.

LOVERDOSE (5.05 Ascot, nb)

Has hardly put a foot wrong this year and went close again at Newbury last time. He is best around this in-between trip and a 3lb rise in the weights is fair. He’s a real battler who will take all the beating.

CREDO (4.30 Ascot, treble)

Has struck up a good partnership with Harry Cobden. They have won two of their past three outings together including at Carlisle last time. She was good value for more than the official winning margin of just under two lengths and has plenty of staying power for this trip.
