RANGATIRA JACK (2.55 Exeter, nap)

This seven-year-old clocked a big personal best when going close over this course and distance last month. A slow jump two from home stopped him getting his head in front but he saw out this trip strongly enough. The decent ground seemed to suit and he should get similar conditions today. None of the opposition has troubled the winner’s enclosure lately and a repeat would be good enough for local trainer Linda Blackford's charge.

REGAL RENAISSANCE (2.45 Ludlow, nb)

Can reign for Henry Daly and Sam Twiston-Davies. She was in winning form at Warwick earlier this season before going close at Cheltenham. She ran to a similar level when just denied over course and distance last time out. The handicapper has left her mark alone and she’ll be right there.

MOTAWAARED (2.37 Musselburgh, treble)

Is bred to be much better than this standard and has already dropped a couple of hints at his ability. He went close at Southwell last time despite not getting the run of the race and doesn’t need much more.

MARKET HOUSE (8.00 Southwell, Lucky 15)

He has been in flying form with back-to-back wins at Newcastle. He went down in a tight finish again there last time and will be happier dropping down to this trip.
