A ENGLISH hotel resort is soon opening a ‘secret garden spa', featuring a swim-up bar and waterfalls.
Manor House Alsager, located in the heart of , has revealed the first photos of its new secret garden spa, which will open on April 18.


The new outdoor spa at the award-winning Manor House Hotel and Spawill feature an additional 36 square metres to the former spa, so guests can enjoy further relaxation.
Following the popularity of the spa's signature swim-up bar, the first of its kind in the UK, the new secret garden spa will also have one, named ‘The Bothy Bar'.
The new bar will provide additional space for visitors to enjoy hot or cold drinks, whilst immersed in the warm .
The new pool will be heated to 37C, and guests will be able to enjoy the water whilst looking out across the landscape.
In addition, the pool will feature a number of jets to gently massage muscles and boost circulation.
Integrated seats will allow guests to enjoy the pool and its , whilst also being social.
There will also be a designed to host several guests at one time.
A cascading waterfall will feature, with soothing sounds to amplify the cooling effect.
As for dry facilities, there will be a new named the hot house, which offers panoramic views of the Cheshire countryside.
It will be heated to 80C and feature a wall to help guests detox.
Reclaimed brick has been used for the interior walls to give the sauna a rustic feel.
Two greenhouses will host relaxation spaces, which visitors can soak up natural light beaming through the glass ceilings.
Bringing the outside in is also important for the spa, so there is a secret garden which has a full of a selection of herbs and flowers that offer a tactile experience.
Hotel Manager Jessica Middleton said on the first look of the new developments: “We’ve poured our heart and soul into every aspect of this expansion to ensure that it’s not just a garden, but a complete sanctuary for our guests.
“From the reclaimed brick in the sauna to the sensory herbs in the garden, each detail has been carefully chosen to create a space that is as beautiful as it is restorative.
“Our goal is to offer a truly memorable experience, where every corner invites relaxation, rejuvenation, and a deeper connection with nature.”
The Spa at Manor House Alsager opened at the end of 2022 and since, has won multiple awards – the most recent of which was being named in The Times top 50 spas in the UK.


As well as the new spa facilities, the hotel also boasts a salt inhalation chamber, potting shed herbal sauna, a pool house, 15 metre pool with a glass ceiling and a hanging
The spa even hosts music nights suited to the seasons, with festive acoustic nights at and sunset DJ sessions in the time.
Away from the spa, there is also an Woodshed for drinks and socialising, a private garden with hot tubs, a guided meditation room and day beds.
A full say spa experience starts from £80 per person during the weekdays, for the Wellness Spa Day, which includes access to the indoor spa and outdoor English garden between 10am and 2pm.
In addition to this, guests will be greeted with an English garden a seasonal platter, and a 10 per cent discount on treatments booked.
Alternatively, visitors could opt for a spa break, starting from £249 per person for a one night stay.
This includes a welcome drink, 60 minute , seven hours spa garden afternoon access, dinner in the Stables Restaurant and Bar, an overnight stay and a full English breakfast.
