Houthis say two killed in overnight US strikes on Yemen

Published on April 27, 2025 at 09:23 AM

Houthi media sources have reported that overnight airstrikes on Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, attributed to the United States, killed two people and wounded several others.

According to the Iran-backed rebels’ official Saba news agency, “Two people were killed and another injured after the American enemy targeted a house”; in a southern neighborhood of Sanaa.

The agency added that “nine others were injured, including two women and three children, in the American aggression on a residential area in the west of Al-Rawda,”; another district of the capital.

There has been no immediate comment from United States officials regarding the reported strikes.

The latest escalation comes amid ongoing tensions in the region, with the Houthis increasingly accusing the US of direct military involvement against their forces.
