Fans attending CinemaCon in Las Vegas got the first look at Sony‘s reboot – also titled I Know What You Did Last Summer.

However, the trailer footage has not yet been made available to the public.

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr are returning, having starred in the first movie and its 1998 sequel.

A young couple (played by Madelyn Cline and Joshua Orpin) are shown enjoying a relaxing night – including a bubble bath and noise-cancelling headphones.

Things take a terrifying turn, however, when a cloaked killer enters the premises.

The premise follows five friends who unintentionally cause a deadly road accident.

Rather than face the consequences, they cover up what happened and make a pact to stay silent.

But a year later, their actions ultimately come back to haunt them .

As before, it transpires that someone, in fact, knows exactly what happened last summer.

Unfortunately for the group, that person seems determined for revenge.

While being hunted down, the friends learn how a similar incident happened before.

So they turn to a pair of survivors from the Southport Massacre of 1997.

None other than Julie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Ray (Freddie Prinze Jr).
