Published on March 27, 2025 at 08:27 PM

The Inspector General of Police, on Thursday commissioned newly completed main office of the Adamawa State Command headquarters of the Nigeria Police.

The multistory building stands side by side other offices of the headquarters complex, including the old main building in which the state police commissioner has his office.

The police headquarters is located in the heart of Jimeta, at a place named after it, Police Roundabout, now Police Flyover, in Yola North Local Government Area.

Cutting the tape to officially open the new office, the IGP said the Yola new edifice is a prototype building which already exists in some states and is planned for each of the country's 36 states.

He said his administration, which has also built some prototype police stations and has more to come around the country, is committed to better office and residential facilities to encourage officers and men of the force to be at their best.

Earlier in his own speech, the Commissioner of Police in Adamawa State, CP Dankombo Morris, noted that the new headquarters building was started and is now completed within the time that Egbetokun has been the IGP.
