‘I’m proud to be president of workers, not outsourcers’ – Trump

Published on April 09, 2025 at 07:26 AM

The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has said that he is proud to be pro-American workers, defending his latest tariff announcement.

Trump disclosed this in a White House event on Wednesday.

According to him, his administration's policy reforms are aimed at protecting American workers as against outsourcing.

He said he stands up for ‘Main Street' not Wall Street.

He added that his policies defend America people against “trade cheaters all over the globe”.

“I’m proud to be the President for the workers, not the outsourcers; the President who stands up for Main Street, not Wall Street; who protects the middle class, not the political class; and who defends America, not trade cheaters all over the globe”, he stated.

His speech comes amid the April 5 anti-Trump and his ally, Elon Musk protest in the streets of America over job cuts and other policies.
