A five-year-old should be able to answer this impossible homework question – but can YOU solve it?

Published on March 21, 2025 at 09:36 AM

AN INCREDIBLY puzzling homework question has left the internet scratching its head.

This seemingly simple task is one of the most confusing we've seen in a while and it's baffled both kids and adults.

Posting the question to Facebook, Royce admitted that she simply couldn't figure the correct answer
At first, the task seemed pretty straightforward

Royce Winnick, a mum from New York, shared a perplexing piece of homework given to her daughter, aimed at helping her practice the letter “T”.

At first, the task seemed pretty straightforward.

The first three pictures featured a tub, the number ten, and a top, all of which were easily identified by the young student.

Things got confusing when the last picture showed a group of rabbits.

The child guessed “pet”, but was told the correct answer was “vet”.

This left Royce and family puzzled.

Posting the question to Facebook, Royce admitted that she simply couldn't figure the correct answer, and her friends didn't have much luck either.

Suggestions ranged from “twins”, and “two by two” to the humorous “twabbit”, but none seemed to fit the bill.

In the end, Royce's daughter settled on “pet,” though this wasn't the answer that came back from the graded sheet.

When the homework returned, it was marked with “vet” as the correct answer, which left everyone even more baffled.

How does a group of rabbits connect to the word “vet”?

The mystery remains unsolved.

This isn't the first time Royce's daughter has encountered an odd homework question.

Another sheet focusing on the letter “K” gave her a similar challenge.

While “kid” and “kit” were easy to identify, the last two images, one showing a group of people and another of a single man, stumped her.

The answers,”kin” and “Ken,” seemed just as obscure as a young child.
