A MAJOR road has closed after a bus ploughed into a car in a horror crash.

Easter getaway drivers can expect queueing traffic on the A38 between Plymouth and Exeter.

One lane on the eastbound expressway has been closed near the Kingsbridge turn-off.

It happened at about 11am on Good Friday.

Traffic cameras show lines of vehicles forming while police deal with the incident.

Traffic and travel site, Inrix, originally reported the crash involved one vehicle, but National Highways has since reported that two vehicles, a car and bus, were involved.

Inrix reports: “Queueing traffic and one lane closed due to accident, a car and a bus involved on A38 Expressway Eastbound before A3121 Kingsbridge Road (Wrangaton Cross).”
