Argentina three-star kit release date revealed… but fans must wait until AFTER Christmas for post-World Cup shirt

FANS will have to wait until after Christmas to get their hands on the new Argentina football shirt.

The new design will include a third star to symbolise the World Cup final victory against France in Qatar.

The new shirt will keep the same style as the one that was worn during the tournament but will have one star placed above the pre-existing two over the badge.

The maker, Adidas, has listed the new shirt on its website titled “Argentina 22 winners home jersey”;, and it will be available on Wednesday, December 28 at 9:30am.

Although journalist Mauro Albornoz has claimed that they could be available as soon as December 26, but that is believed to only be in Argentina.

It is also expected to sell out very quickly due to high demand from fans.

A video has been shared on social media showing the third star being added to the jerseys.

Argentina won the World Cup in a thrilling final against the French, in which the two sides had to be separated on penalties.

Defender Gonzalo Montiel scored the decisive spot kick for his side.

The shirt is currently priced at £80, but this is for the replica version, not the one that would have been worn by Lionel Messi and co.

For the authentic shirt, the away version is currently listed at £120 on the Adidas website.
