Bandits kill businessman, abduct one in attack on Kano night market

A group of armed bandits launched a deadly attack on Faruruwa town in Shanono Local Government Area of Kano State on Thursday night, killing a prominent businessman, injuring two others, and abducting one person.
The incident occurred while the town’s popular night market was in full swing.

The attack was contained in a post on Friday by a security analyst, Bakatsine, on X.

“Last night, bandits attacked Faruruwa town in Shanono LGA of Kano State. They killed a well-known businessman, Alhaji Rabilu, injured two people and abducted one person. The attack happened while the town's night market was underway,”; he wrote.

The Kano State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
