Barcelona star Ansu Fati ‘involved in car crash leaving motorcyclist with broken ankle before visiting him in hospital’

BARCELONA striker Ansu Fati has reportedly hurt a motorcyclist in a crash in the Catalan capital.

The forward is said to have been trying to park his car when he collided with the biker, who broke his ankle.

Ansu Fati intends to check up on the condition of the injured motorcyclist

He is understood to have gone to hospital to see how the injured man is doing.

Fati is also intending to contact the biker throughout the week to check how he is doing, according to Carrusel Deportivo.

Fati, 20, has just been called up to Spain’s World Cup squad.

He described the call-up as more than a dream come true following a two-year injury nightmare which has hampered his progress.

The Barca wonderkid reportedly broke down in tears upon hearing he had been selected in the final 26-man squad.

And his family gave him a hero’s welcome when he returned home, singing and dancing as he arrived before hugging and congratulating the forward on his call-up.

Fati has just four caps to his name and is somewhat of a surprise inclusion given he has not played for Spain since 2020.

But he has finally been able to feature regularly for Barcelona by staying injury-free and after recording three goals and three assists for the LaLiga leaders Luis Enrique clearly believes he could make a difference at the World Cup.

It is a big turnaround for the youngster who was believed to be considering quitting the club after becoming upset over a lack of game time.

But he is clearly well thought of at Barcelona after penning a six-year deal with the option of a further two years in 2021.

He was also handed Lionel Messi’s iconic number 10 shirt after the Barca legend left the club last year and has a release clause worth a staggering £846million.
